What is Encryption and Decryption?

Hello friends, after the huge attack of Ransomware (WannaCry) malware. It affected many computer systems in the world. We had also posted the articles on The Ransomware, if you are still not read that so please firstly read that…

Also:

So many people are not aware that ‘What is Exactly Encryption/Decryption?’ so here we are… Today we are going to talk about ‘What is Encryption and Decryption?’

What is Encryption?

Encryption is the process of conversion or encoding a message or information of data into a form that cannot easily be understood by anyone and only authorized parties can access it. Those people possess special information usually referred as a KEY. An authorized can easily decrypt the message with that key which is provided by the Originator.

We can also say that the Encryption is the translation of data into a secret code. Unencrypted data is called Plain Text.

This is done using an algorithm called CIPHER. This result of the process is encrypted information, referred as Cipher Text.

After all, the encryption is not only used by the hacker to give you a problem, this is also used primarily in defense services. It is even used in civilian systems, like:
  • Online Banking
  • E-commerce
  • Mobile Services

Most of the above used the Encryption to facilitate secret communication and privacy of data.

  • Flexcrypt is one of the most popular encryption software, which you can easily download free of charge from http://www.flexcrypt.com/

What is Decryption?

Decryption is the process of converting or taking the encoded (or Encrypted) text or data back into its original form that you or your computer can understand.

This term could be used to describe a method of Un-encrypting data using proper codes of key.
